Did Christmas fly by or what?

I am having a hard time with the Christmas. I don't feel like Santa has been here. I don't know if it was because I have been so busy (getting ready, like shopping, or was it having 3 dinner parties since Dec. 16th) or was it because the weather has been so unseasonable warm and no snow. I just can't believe it is almost 2007. Is there anyway that I can push a rewind button, get a little snow and start all over again. Wait I take that back. Rewind to the beginning of Dec. and get all of my parties catered, except Christmas Eve (because that one was easy and the food was FABULOUS), get a maid and someone to decorate my house for the fastive occasions. I have been going and going and going that I feel it flew by and I missed it. The decorations are coming down today and I guess that is why all of a sudden it hit me. It is over and I don't remember it. I guess I am going to do things differently next year, like not have so many big parties and shop early. Thanks for letting me vent, that exactly what I needed. Now off to get the decorations down so that maybe I can find time to scrap before I have to start back to work in a few days.

GUILTY as Charged

Oops, Sorry about the sideways photos. I will try and repost later with them the correct way. How stupid of me.

I have been so bad about updated my blog. So I am going to give a condensed version of my life since Oct. I have been so busy that I really don't remember. How is that for condensed? HAHA!!! Well Scott had a trip to Germany and he was gone for 2 1/2 weeks. I have a new understanding of being a single parent and more sympathy for them. I thought I was going to go crazy. He travels quit often but normally for 3-4 days at a time and the girls and I kind of like it. We just do our own thing, like eat out, go shopping and watch girly movies. But he was gone too long and it was a very hectic time of year. Trying to get ready for Christmas and the big party that we had at our house. He came home the day before the party and didn't understand why I was feeling a little overwelmed. We were having about 50 people, so I had to clean the house put up the decorations and cook and fix food for all of them. Then try and do my Christmas shopping. But that is over and now it is time to get ready for another that we are hosting for Christmas Eve. I am really looking forward to that one and since the house is still pretty clean from the last one I just need to pick up and get the food out, and everyone is helping with that.

I have had 3 sinus infections since the end of October. Well that is what the Dr. said. I think it was the same infection and it just wouldn't go away. Knock on wood I have been off the antibiotic for 2 weeks and thing and still going good. Tis the season to be Jolly FaLaLaLaLaLaLaLaLa.

Here are some photos of our tree and the girls making there Gingerbread house.

I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

I think I am going to Live.

I am feeling better today. You should have seen me. I almost had Hayley take a picture of just my eyes because I have never seen any so RED. They were so bloodshot and swollen that I could hardly see and light made them hurt, so I sat around in the dark for 2 days watching TV. I don't really like tv but I did a day of HGTV, with What not to wear, 10 Yrs. younger, etc. Boy was that fun. I want to go out and buy new clothes and make up now.

Today we are going to my MIL for my birthday. It is not until Tuesday but it works better for everyone to get together on weekends. I am pumped, she is the best cook around and I can't wait to have her cake. I don't know what kind it will be but she doesn't make anything bad (well unless it has coconut in it because I don't like coconut). Plus I don't have to worry about what to cook tonight. Or tomorrow because we are getting together at my mothers for another celebration. I love living close to family for family celebrations, it is just a fun time to get together and enjoy each other company.
The photo above is of the full moon that I saw out my back window the other night. I know it is nothing fantastic but I thought it was likd of pretty. I am off to rest some more, I hope my ears will pop soon. I hate to feel like I am in a tin can.

Just Shoot Me!!!

This has been one ugly week for us. Last week Maggi was sick with a cold or allergies but recovered in a couple of days. Scott then got it a couple of days later (you would have thought he was dying). Then Hayley came down with the same thing. Runny nose, coughing, feeling just plain yucky. I had to take her to the Med Center Wednesday night because she was almost in tears with a ear ache. This child hardly ever complains so I knew something was up. Yeap her cold turned into a ear infection. Well you can guess what happened next. I now have it and I am feeling like CRAP. Mine started out with a ear that was plugged, which is no biggy but I called the Dr. yesterday because it was beginning to wear on me after 4 days of not being able to hear out it. I would walk down the hallways at school sideways so I could hear. That was a site. Well anyways they could get me in this morning at 8:00, cool. Last night I had a hard time falling asleep because my other ear was now plugged also and yucky stuff was coming out of both. Sorry for the graphics. So I finally got to sleep with a little help of a sleep aid to only wake up at 5:00am not able to breath out of my nose, my eyes where glued shut and I couldn't hear out of either ear. So off to the Dr. I go. I have a sinus infection, 2 ear infections and pink eye. Oh did I tell you how much I love working with kids. They love to share. Thanks for letting me vent. I am off to the couch again and watch some TV. I wonder what is on Friday nights. Probably not much since I have the time.

Deep Breathe

***What A Weekend***It was Homecoming weekend. So that involved a football game Friday night. And that was after a very busy week and I would have just loved to sit by the fire or scrapbook. What mood I was in at the time. But nope that wasn't going to happen. Right now it is 7:00 pm and this is actually the first time I have sat down to take a break almost all weekend. Yesterday it was run around to get this or that that was forgotten. You know things like, oh mom I need hairspray, OK honey is there anything else you need while I am at the store. NO. OK I get home, I'm doing dishes, MOM I need razors, Oh honey just go get some out of my drawer, NO I don't like yours. Ok off to the store. Get home. Mom did you pick up the bootener (spelled wrong-I don't know how to spell it). Oh crap back into the car. But I am going to go to the store and then pick Maggi up at a birthday party so I will be back in about at 1/2 hour. OK. As I am pulling out of the garage my garage door is coming down. Yeap you guessed it. BAM. oh poop. I was vaccuming out the car earlier in the day and must of shut the release for the door in the car door so when I was backing up it was released. But luckily it was only 2 little dents in the back of the car and one dent in the garage door, and they both work fine so I am good to go. Get the razor blades which I find out are $10 bucks for 4 stinkin blades. Good thing I love this child. Pick up Maggi only for her to start to cry as soon as we are in the car. I guess one of her so called friends pulled a trick on her. They wanted what Maggi got as a prize and asked to trade. So she does only to trade a mini make-up kit for a bite size trizzler. So when Maggi mentions to this girl that is not a fair trade she is told "NO TRADE BACKS". OK I make a mental note to deal with this later. I get home only to find out that the plans for dinner and pictures has changed AGAIN. Take a deep breathe. No biggy. Then I hear some muffled whining coming from the bathroom. The princess's hair is not cooperating. I am not a hairdresser, and you asked me to cancell your hair appt. because you wanted to do it yourself. Take another deep breathe. OK I hear from the closed bathroom door, I am just going to straighten it and wear my big headband. Cool because I think that would look best with your dress anyways. MOM can you drive tonight, so and so's parents won't drive now. Another deep breathe. YES. Time is closing in (thank god). I get her over to her dates house and get photos, yahoo, take them to dinner and then her dates parents are going to be doing the rest. Today I get up and it is laundry day, I made a deal with dh last week because now that I am working full time I think that it is only fair that he enjoy these moments. It was his turn to do the laundry. He was gone fishing all day yesterday so it is only fair, RIGHT. Well guess what, he went fishing AGAIN today. Another deep breathe, I think I am going to pass out from all the deep breathe. I am going to look for some cheap weekend getaway for next weekend and not tell anyone where I am going. But to let you know that I did make it thru I am posting some photos of yesterday and let me say I am very proud of Hayley.

Well it looks like I am going to have to post photos later. Check back for chapter 2.

Long time, No see

It has been a long time since I have undated this little blog thingy and for that I am sorry. Nothing really exciting happening other than time. I just don't seem to have enough time in a day to get everything done. This working full time seems to get in the way of all the fun stuff in life. Then after work it is get dinner, get Hayley to dance and do errands that I don't have time to do during the day.

We went to the Balloon Fest last weekend and had a GREAT time. The weather was perfect. Sure beats this weekend with it being cloudy and rainy. It is making me stay home and do the little projects that I have been putting of. Like repainting Hayleys bedroom door, laundry, vacuuming, you know the things that need to be done but yet you can also ignore for a certain period of time. Looks like that time is up.

Well, tomorrow it is off to the store to buy a new crock pot. Mine seems to have bit the schnitzel and i can't live without one now that I am gone all day long. If anyone has a recommendation please let me know.

I know I have been MIA

I just can't seem to get my act together. My house looks like crap, I have so much paperwork from school that needs to be done, dance has started so that mean I am offically a chauffer again. I need more time and energy. Just to make things more difficult I did a stupid thing last week. I was running a few minutes late coming back from my lunch break so I decided that I would run or jog is what I should say from my car to school, and yep you guessed it, I tripped over my own feet. Landed right on my right buttocks, jumped right up and worked the rest of the day. As the day went on I could feel my back getting tighter, no big deal I can deal with aches and pains. Woke up Friday (we didn't have school) and it hurt, but it didn't stop me from doing a little shopping and then went scrapbooking with Kay that night. Well when I woke up on Saturday I could hardly move. Every time I went to even breathe it was like a electrical shock going thru my back. So I did absolutely nothing Sat. and Sun. What a way to spend a holiday weekend. I was just a ball of fire. NOT. I let it go until Wed and finally went to the Dr. just to find out that I bruised the hell out of my back and that it might take another 2 - 3 weeks before it gets better. Oh that was just what I wanted to hear. Today it is feeling much better, still very sore but at least I can breathe without a shock.

This weekend it is house cleaning, since I didn't get anything done last week. Oh another fun one, the family is sure to love me. At least they will have clean underware, well maybe if they are nice. I will be sure to leave them for last just in case anyone gives me a hard time.

My other goal for this weekend is to get my camera out and take more pictures. I have been neglecting that lately. I need new inspiration and I am hoping new pictures will do it.

Hope you all have a fun filled weekend. <3

2 Weeks down

OK it was 3 days the first week and 4 days this week but it feels like 2 full weeks and my body sure feels like it. I am not use to getting up early and putting the coffee on, jumping in the shower before dh and be ready to get out the door about 7:00am. That is just too darn early unless we are leaving for vacation and then time doesn't matter because I usually don't sleep well the night before because I am just too darn excited.

I think this is going to be a good year at school. We have a new principal and so far she is amazing. A real people person that tells you the truth (even if you don't want to know) rather than tell you what she thinks you want to hear (that is what the last principal did). Does that make sence? Well anyways I really like her and so she is just wonderful with the students. She has rules but has a wonderful sence of human at the same time. And how could I forget Adam. The little boy that I am with all day long. He is such a wonderful 8 year old. Working with him is a awesome job that it really doesn't feel like a job.

I seemed to have pulled a muscle in my back. I hope it feels better tomorrow, I am suppose to go to a crop. I am going to drug myself up before bed and lather on a bunch of ben gay so by morning I will be able to a little two step. Guess I better take lesson before actually saying I am going to do it.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend. This is the first year in about 5 that we are staying home. We usually go up north and walk the Mackinaw Bridge with 10,000 plus other crazy people. With 4 days off I guess I better try to clean house. You did notice the key word "try", it is a holiday weekend so it may or may not get done.

Enjoy your weekend!!!!

It has been awhile since I have updated this. For that I am so sorry. The girls are back in school and that means that I am back at work. It has been some very long days for us. It will take me a couple of weeks before I can come from home school and have any energy. As it is right now I get home, get dinner and then I am ready for bed. Ugh!!! Hayley starts dance tonight so that means that I will have to stay up to pick her up. I hope I don't fall asleep and forget all about her. At least this year she only has 3 classes and 2 of those are on the same night so that means I will only have to run 2 nights a week. Good thing I don't have a life. HAHA.

I found out that my good friend that has gone thru cancer twice has more lesions on her kidney. The poor girl only has 1/2 of a kidney left. My heart just goes out to her and her family. She has a daughter that is good friend with Hayley. They met in kindergarten have hung together ever since. I will be praying for her. The thing that really is making her upset about all this is that they can't do a thing and told her to come back in 6 months. That is going to be a hell of long 6 months for her. If you could find it in your heart please pray for her.

Well I guess I better go do the dishes. Nothing I hate more than waking up in the morning and finding last nights dishes in the sink. I never do that but I have been so tired, thank goodness it is only until I get use to working again.

Tata for now. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Why or why is the blogger thing

giving me a headache. I have tried off and on all day long to post a photo with this but for some reason it is being a pain in the arse. So her is another boring post with no photo to give it a little pizzaz (sp).

Well yesterday I went to a crop all day in Detroit with Kay. It was a very fun day, not very productive but I had a day with no kids. I did get 4 LO's done. None that I am very proud of. We did a little shopping also at the mall and IKEA. Today it was back to the crazy's. "MOM" this and mom that. I know they could do everything themselves yesterday, why can't they do it today.

I have spent the majority of the day organzing my ribbons and form stamps. To look at my scrap area you would think a tonado hit, but hey I am in the process of organization and in order to do that you have to make a mess right? Right!!! That is my answer and I am stickin with it.

Tomorrow and Tuesday are day of meetings to get ready to back to work and Wednesday is the big day. The girls are excited even thought Maggi says she "hates" school. We need to get back into a routine before I go nuts. Plus the paycheck will help. HAHA. Well I need to go back and try to figure out where I left off at in "project organization".

What do you think?

These are 2 of the 100+ photos that I took last night at my photo class. I really like the class but was a little upset because I thought it would help me learn a little more about how to use all the bells and whisle on my camera. I did learn how to take better pics by where to stand and how to use nature light. So I did learn something. Now I am going to sign myself up for the class that he teaches at his store that will go into how to use all the buttons and do the thing that scares the do do out of me - manual.

Summer Fun!!!

When I look at the picture all I can see is the fun that Maggi is having. We laughed and laughed the other day when she started doing this that I had to run and get my camera. She had the
water in the pool rockin and rollin. I told her that if she got the water in the middle going up any higher it was going to launch her right out of the pool. Well of course she just had to give it a try. Thank goodness it didn't work. Oh to be young and not a care in the world.

Now that I brought that up, both girls have a dentist appointment today. Hayley had a cavity and Maggi has a area where a previous filling fell out so that has to be redone. Hayley has been numbed up before but not Maggi. The dentist that we go to (I have gone there for over 25 yrs. and it is the only dentist the girls have ever gone to) has retired and a new Dr. has taken over. I have met him but have never had him work on our teeth. I wish that I was the one having this done. It always hurts me to know that my girls are uncomfortable (I know pain but I wanted to be nice). I get to go next week for a filling that is coming loose. I have not had to be drilled and filled for over 20 years. Ugh. The things we do to stay healthy.

Have a wonderful day!!!

Saturday, August 05, 2006

Here is a photo of my now 9 yr. old Maggi. Isn't she the cutest cowgirl on her new mode of transportation. Yes she did get a new helmet to go with the bike but there was no way she would let me take of picture of her in it. We have had to go on 2 bike rides already today and she wants to go again. Well I won't have to exercise then will I.

My Baby is 9!!!

Today is Maggi's Birthday. I can't believe my little girl is 9 years old. They grow up way to fast. Part of me wants them to slow down and the other part can't wait until they grow up and see what kind of adult they will be. I also don't know what I would do without my girls. They are such a joy and can cause havic at a minutes notice. But I wouldn't change that for the world.

Maggi got a new bike from us today. We love to go on bike rides and she has never had a new one. It was always a hand me down from Hayley. She really didn seem to mind, that's my girl. Very happy (well most of the time). We are going to try and go to the movies this afternoon. She wants to see Barnyard, so why not do it on her big day. We are having my side of the family over tomorrow to celebrate both Maggi and Hayley's birthday. We did Scott's family together before we went to Chicago. Usually I do one big party for everyone in between there special days because the dates are only 3 weeks apart. So today is cleaning and organizing and going to the grocery store to get all the fixens. Yesterday we had to order the cake and of course one wants a yellow cake and the other wants chocolate. I wanted to scream, but it is there day so guess what. Yes we have 2 cakes, so if anyone wants a piece come on over, we will have enough for a army. Oh there will be ice cream also. Guess I better get moving, so much to do and so little time. HAHA!!!

HOT HOT HOT!!!

At 7 am this morning it was already 80 degress so it looks to be another HOT one. Yesterday the temp. hit a all time high for this area and they say today is going to be worse. The humidity is so high also which makes it all the worse. I have no energy and my fingers are swollen due to the weather. Getting older brings on new experiences everyday. Just love it. Looks like I will be spending more bonding time in the pool with Maggi. That is the only way that you can stand it outside. You can even see the humidity in the air it is so thick. I also have a dentist appt. this afternoon that I am looking forward too. NOT. I am a retired dental assistant so you would think I wouldn't mind, but I have the feeling that I am going to have to go back for some work. Ugh. We will see. Hope everyone has a COOL day. I think I might try to scrap later because it is too darn hot to clean or do the laundry. That excuse works for me and I am sticking with it.

Back to Normal

well as normal as our house can get. We just got back from dropping Elizabeth (Hayleys friend from Texas) off at the airport. She has been here for 2 very long weeks. I love that girl to death but I could tell that they were getting on each other nerves. I am a little worried, she is flying all the way back by herself and has to change planes in Detroit. I will not be happy until I hear that she is home safe and sound.

I got to see Vicki on Friday and I just LOVE that girl. I got to hold Landon, he is so darn cute. We meet up at the Great American Scrapbook Convention. If anyone has ever thought about going DON'T. I was very disappointed in the size and what was available. But lunch was fantastic. I did miss out on meeting Vicki's DH and kids. Of course my bladder kicked in at that moment. Dang it all.

I am almost done with the pages that I am doing for my neighbor. I love doing them but it has also made me gratefull that I don't have sons. Boy pages are so hard. I now know what you girls go thru trying to do a masculine LO. Maybe it is just me.

3 more weeks and it is back to school. Half of me is ready and the other half is - WOW where did the summer go. Actually I want to start getting my paychecks again, like I need more supplies but it is nice to have the extra money for fun, or as the first few will be to pay off they charges that I just HAD to do over the summer.

Sorry this is so boring. I did a photo shot of Hayley and Elizabeth yesterday so I am going to try and post those. They are silly silly girls.

Thursday, July 27, 2006

Tomorrow is Friday

and that means I get to see Vicki M. and Lana. We are meeting for a fun day of walking around and chit chat. Kay and I are driving down to meet them and have a great day. I can not wait. I need a day away from my humble abode and my lovely daughters. I have hit that time of the summer when everyone is bored and they are driving me crazy. I am not ready for school to start but I would love to get back into a routine. I guess I can wait another 4 weeks and I begin to bring home the bacon again. That is the only draw back about working at the school. We don't get the option like teachers to spread out the paychecks all year. Oh well at least I get to be home and enjoy the summer with my girls. Even though they drive me nuts at times. I wouldn't change it for the world. Well off to get my camera and things (like a map) ready for tomorrow. Arn't you jeolous!!!

Tuesday, July 25, 2006

Here are a few photo's from this weekend. The first is Hayley, Elizabeth and Jackie. They are just wild and crazy.
Then there is Maggi, what a face. I just love this photo and I am sure you will be seeing it on a LO in the future.
This photo is of a few Tall Ships that lined the local river over the weekend. It was so beautiful and amazing. They lined up on both side of the river and as you crossed the bridge it was just a beautiful site.

I finally got my PSE on my laptop, why didn't I do that sooner. This could be a mistake because I have the feeling that I am going to be playing more than cleaning, getting dinners, I might just loose track of time and forget to pick one of kids. You get the picture. I have to go and play with more pictures. HAHA. Oh we are puppy sitting tonight for the cuties little thing. I have a photo, I am sure that really surprizes alot you that I will post soon. He is only 6 weeks old and just taken away from his mother yesterday. Oh the poor baby, but the girls are really entertaining him (between little doggie naps) and I think that is helping.

Monday, July 24, 2006

Hello, it's Monday

and the weekend flew by. Well at least it did for me. We had a wonderful weekend and even got my dh to do something. Yahoo!!! We went to the Tall Ships that were docked on a local (well about 15 miles away) river and they were amazing. I have been so busy that I don't even have my pictures downloaded on the computer yet. If there are any good ones I will post them. That might not be for awhile. See on Saturday Maggi talked me into having some of her friends over for her birthday, which isn't until Aug. 5, but with our schedule she is having it this Thursday, so that meant getting the invites out Sat., planning what she wanted to do, a pool party but it is suppose to rain the rest of the week so we also had to come up with alternative games and such just in case. We just got back from getting all the goodies for the goodie bag and decorations. While we were at the store, I was informed that she doesn't like bakery cakes anymore, we have to bake and decorate it ourself. Oh goodie like I don't have enough going on. Elizabeth (Hayleys friend from Texas) is still with us until Sunday so they have me running all over the place so she can get in everything done that she wanted to do while back in Michigan. Ugh, I wish Hayley had her drivers license. Plus Maggi started volleyball camp this morning and just loves it, so only 4 more days to go for that. Also I am going to Grand Rapids on Friday and can I say I CAN"T WAIT. I need to get away even if it is only for the day. Well that is about it for now, need to go and get some organization going in this house before the party festivities, oh I better start the wash, the kids say they are almost our of clean undies.

I have a headache

I spent all morning teaching my husband how to do the bills. We have been married 20 years and the last couple of years he has been asking to do the bills. We have tried many times and he ends up getting mad because he could never really understand, but today after 3 1/2 hrs of explaining why we can't just sit down and everything off I think he has finally got it. We will see next month because he will be doing it again. He doesn't know it yet.

Plans are being made for a day trip to Grand Rapids to go to the Great American Scrapbook Convention. I am excited!!! I will be seeing Vicki (mom25) and Lana again. Yahoo!!!

I am still working on the album for my neighbors grandson. I think I have about 3 more LO's to do and I will be done. I am enjoying this because it is doing boy LO's which I never get to do with having 2 girls, so this is working out my comfort zone which is a good thing.

Well I better go feed the crew before they starve to death which I am being told is going to happen soon. Heck it is only 4:45 and so what if I forgot to get you lunch. What a good mother I am. HAHA!!!

Welcome to a ZOO

I don't even know where to begin. My dh has been gone since Monday, which is not a bad thing. The girls and I enjoy the down time, we don't have to do a thing, like worry about what is for dinner, we can just do our own thing. The thing is, is that Hayley has one of her best friends from Texas (she moved away about 1 1/2 years ago) staying with us for the next 2 weeks. So they have all these plans and planned a party at our house for this afternoon until evening. They kind of forgot to tell me until last night. I could just ring there necks. They invited about 10 teenagers over for food and fun. I usually don't mind, but I wish they would have asked and I don't have the heart to say no at this late date because I know Elizabeth (Hayley's friend) really wants to see all these kids while she is here and Hayley wants to do this. Right now they are still in bed and they don't know it yet, I have a to do list for them that must be done before the party festivities. I am hoping that they might think twice about having another party after see the list. HAHA!!! I am just going to sit back and watch, make sure my battery is ready on my camera and play the paparazzi camera mom. That's the plan anyways.

Monday, July 17, 2006

After looking over my blog I decided that I need to reload some of my favorite photos. So here is one. I will load some more when I can use the PC because that is where 99.9% of the pictures are at.

It's MONDAY!!!

And hotter than heck. My dh left this morning for the week and it is just me and my girls, plus another one because Hayley's friend from Texas is here staying with us for the next 2 weeks. I want to scrap but my scrapbook room is freezing because that is were all the cold air shoots out. It is suppose to be almost 100 degrees out today and I have to wear a sweatshirt to scrap. Ugh!!! Plus with it being so hot and humid I have no energy, go figure. I hope I get it soon because I have all this time to play and I just can't. I tried doing it at the dinning room table but I just do so much better at my desk with everything right in front of me. OK enough ranting.

I am going to sign myself up for a photography class at our local nature center. It is for women only and we are suppose to learn how to take great nature shots and what we can do with them once we have them on the computer. Lord knows I need help in both areas.

I think I am going to go to JoAnn's today. Why I don't really know, other than I was at Michael's the other day and I coulnd't find anything that I just had to have. Our LSS sucks (sorry but no other word describes it) and the best is about 1/2 hours away. I am trying to conserve on gas, so I am limiting my travel. Well I least I can try right. Off to pick up the house and get on with my day. Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday.

Well for the last 4 days we have been on vacation and it we had a AWESOME time. The girls we in a dream world and were on their best behavior, what more could I ask for. It was Fabulous. Even my husband was wonderful. Now it is back to reality and laundry. Oh what fun. Here is a couple of photos for you at the muse that are trying to guess where we were.

I know I am a little late but here is another photo of the 4th. I really like this one!!! I have not been really good at updated this, and for that I am sorry. I have been really busy trying to finish the room redo for Hayley and now we are working on moving Maggi into Hayley's old room. Oh I am having a blast. NOT. They better apprieciate this when I am done.

We are leaving for vacation tomorrow and why does it always feel like a hurrican just trying to get ready. We had the girls (Hayley and Maggi) and Jenna's (my niece) birthday party yesterday. Poor Kay, she is trying to get ready for vacation also and had the party at her house. Jenna's Birthday is tomorrow and Hayleys is Thursday. Maggi's isn't until the beginning of Aug. but she wanted to celebrate now so she could get money for vacation. Hey - can't fault her for that. HAHA.

I have been hired to do a album by my neighbor, it is hard doing a all boy LO when I am use to doing girls, but I am getting it done. I have done about 8 pages and have about 6 more to do. That is my project when I get back because she wants to mail it off so he can have for his party which is the first week of Aug. Now I know what it is like to be on a DT and have a deadline. Nope not for me. Although I do work well under pressure. Well I guess I better go finishing packing since we are leaving in the wee hours of the morning before the sun rises. Hope everyone has a wonderful week.

In Celebration of my 20th Wedding Anniversary

Here is a photo of fireworks. HAHA!!!
Yes it has been 20 yrs. since the walk
down the isle. I can't beleive that it
has been 20 yrs. Well enough of this
because we don't really do a all out
celebration. We or most likely I will
grill steaks tonight and maybe go out
for ice cream.

We went to the fireworks last night and
I am in the process of looking at my 250
pictures that I took. They are not the
best, but I like them and that is all that matters, right? Today I have been working
on a LO for my neighbors grandson and I am having a hard time. I have never done
a boy LO before let alone try to do about 12, I think I am going to have to put on my
thinking cap because this is hard. I have only done girl LO so this is making me think
out of my box. I just hope she likes it when I am done. Well I better go take the
steaks out of the freezer or we will be having grilled cheeses.

KABOOM!!!

Happy 4th of July early!!! For the last 2 days I have been playing with my camera in anticipation of getting some awesome shots of the fireworks. Last year I got some really nice ones and I am hoping with my new camera I can get even better ones. I will tell you I am not holding my breathe. I get so confused trying to read the manual and then a couple of online tips. Why do I feel so dumb. Not going to dwell on that. HAHA!!! TODAY I might just finish a LO that I only started a couple of days ago. That is speedy for me. It seems like everytime I sit down to scrap all hell breaks loose and I have to go a running. The only place that I can actually do a LO in one sitting is at a crop. Well, off to the races, not really but that is what my life feels like. I am bound and determined to get Maggi's new room (Hayley's old) set up and running before vacation plus enjoy the holiday. I hope everyone has a fun filled day of fun and fireworks.

I know my blog is boring but man it is even worse without the pictures. Looks like I will have to reload them to spruse this up. Well today I did laundry all day and started to clean up my scrap area. It is kind of funny because I haven't scrapped a thing since moving my room but it seems to collect alot of everyone elses junk. My neighbor came over today to ask a few questions about putting a SB page together. She is making one for her grandsons high school graduation which was about a month ago. She told him she might get it done for his college graduation but she asked me if I would do the book for her. What have I got myself into? I have lived next to her all my life, she is my second mom so what could I say. Looks like I am going to be busy for awhile.

Finally we are done

PAINTING. Thank goodness, my body is getting to old for that. It does look cute. I will take pictures later. Maybe if I am lucky I can find a before and after. I watch too much HGTV. So today was to clean as much as I can and get ready for my mothers birthday festivites. They should be coming within the next few minutes. Better go get the burgers on the grill. WOW I wish I were Wonder or even Super Woman.

I don't know what happened

but my other blog got so messed up I had to start a new. If I was better at the puter I might have been able to save it, but not me. Easier to cut and paste. So here is the new and improved model.

Can you hear ME?
I am screaming. Well my body and mind is anyways. This room makeover is kiling me. As my loving Hayley is laying around the house (she is the one that talked me into redo the room for her, with her promise that she would help-NOT) I am busting my butt. The painting over the wallpaper looks awful. I now have to wait for the ceiling paint to dry in order to sand each seam that seems to glow. With the primer you couldn't see them and thought this going better than I thought. Well I was wrong. It looks like it is going to be another back breaking day. My dh tooks us out for a drive last night. It looks like he is in the mood to buy a new house. Which I am also but why now? Don't get me wrong I would LOVE to move. It is just that I have come to the conclussion that we were staying here because we only have 2 more years and this house will be paid off and after last summer of doing a clean sweep of the house to get it ready to sell and then changing his mind, the house has turned into a mess again. Ugh! Looks like when I get done with the bedroom I will have to do another clean sweep of the WHOLE house. On a good note, I finally made all the reservations for Chicago. Yahoo!!! It is for real now. I am excited. We will be taking the Amtrak there and then spend a couple of days seeing what ever we can. Basically the Aquarium, Navy Pier and shopping. We will be there for Hayleys birthday and she is pumped. Guess who is going with us? If you guessed Kay and her family, ding ding ding, you are a weiner. So all you scrappers watch out there will a few photos when we get back. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. You know what I will be doing.

The scene of the accident
I have been Hayley a hard time about running over the sign that I had to go take pictures of it today. It is not the best as I was driving and trying to take the picture at the same time. Please do not do what I do, it is very dangerous. At least I didn't run over a sign. HAHA!!! Well it has been a pretty productive day. I vaccummed. Yes that is about it. The thing is I have been meaning to it for about 3 days now, so the day finally came. Glad it is done. I even cleaned up my scrapping area a little. I thought I would try to scrap or do something artsy fartsy but I just didn't have it in me. We have the primer on Hayleys walls and I am now waiting for her to pick out the perfect color. Ugh!!! Tomorrow I think we will go to the outlet mall and see if she can find a bedspread that she just dearly loves so she can figure out the color. We have finally made a decission on vacation. Yahoo and I am so excited. We are going to go to Chicago and we are taking the Amtrak. We will most likely be there on Hayley's birthday and she is pumped. Other than that it is another day in paradise. Don't I wish.

CRASH!!!
Most of you know that my DD has her drivers permit. She has been driving for about a month now. Well today she wanted to go to Target to look at bedspreads to help her pick out what color she would like to paint her room. I thought she already knew what color, well she is a teenager and just can't make up her mind. Well anyways she was driving and saw some friends and was pointing them out to me as she turns a corner and takes down a street sign. I just took a deep breath and told her to pull into the closest parking lot. She was so upset, more with herself than anything. I told her that no one was hurt and that this is a good learning experience. My car has a little scruffing on the front fender, but it is ok because it now matches the scruffing on the other side. I am upset because she didn't want to go to Target after that and I am having withdrawls.

Sorry!!!!
It has been awhile since I have had time to blog. I started this to write down all of my daily going ons. Hoping that this would help me with my journaling. Well if this is going to help me then I am going to have to make sure that I get all the important moments down. So here goes with the latest and greatest moments.I think I am done getting the wallpaper of the wall, yes wall. It was glued to the wall with superglue I swear. Actually the paper has been on there for over 25 years and no one primed the walls before putting the paper up. So we have decided to use Kiln's primer and then paint over the paper. I was hoping that it would have been now by now, but you know with a teenager helping nothing gets done fast.Maggi was helping me the other day and did a little oops. She removed the wallpaper from the wrong side of the door so now I have redo that when I get done with everything else.Still trying to figure out vacation. Just when I think I have it someone tells me that they can't make it because the certain someone has a business trip.Oh I almost forgot, the pool sprug a leak so I had to stop everything and drain it, find the leak and set it back up. That took a day and a half. Today I hope to set it up. If we didn't have so much rain and a little help from dh I might have it done sooner. Keeping fingers crossed that it will get us thru the summer. And I thought it was summer break and I could SCRAP. Well at the rate that I am going I hope that I can at least get one page done before school starts. I am done complaining now. Thank you, I just needed to VENT.

Almost ready to peel wallpaper!!!I have been busy the last couple of days doing a clean sweep of the spare bedroom/computer/craft room. If Hayley does her job of getting her stuff out of there we can start to peel the paper off the walls that have been there for almost 30 years. Yes the paper is antique green stripes. I can see why Hayley doesn't want it her new bedroom. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will be able to paint the walls rather than rewallpaper but I don't know because with this old house it has cider block walls. But anyways here are some photos of my NEW scraproom and I can not wait to be able to sit down and start scrapping again.

Day 2: I didn't get into the shower until 10:00am so I know I won't get much accomplished today. If I don't get going first thing in the morning I don't get going all day. Dang and I had alot that I wanted to get done.Hayley and her friend Amanda were going to sleep out in the tent last night but chickened out. Teenagers, at least they learned how to set the tent up.Maggi and I set the pool up yesterday to discover that it may have a leak. We are going to give it a couple of days and see what happens, I don't want to get a new pool and trying to find were the hole is is a pain in the butt. Time will tell.

I have started a blog, go figure. Now what do I write? Hmmmm, summer is here and so much to do, I don't even know what to do first. We are switching rooms. I first have to move all my scrapping stuff in to the back porch and set it up. Move the rest of the out of that room, remove the wallpaper, repaint, clean the carpet and them move all of Hayley's stuff into it. Then we get to move Maggi into Hayley's room and then Maggi's room will turn into a play/tv room for the girls. Now you can see why I can't get moving, it is going to take all summer to do it. Ok enough of this blogging, I better get my butt moving I have alot of work a head of me.
