BUSY busy and more busy!!!

I asked Maggi to let me take her picture a couple of weeks ago. She is such a smarty pants. All she would do was give me goofy faces. Maybe she is trying to tell me "mom would you please put that camera away". NOPE!!!

Well let me say that I don't even know what direction to go these days. I just can't seem to catch up on anything. My house looks like a pig sty. I need to get it organized. I am ready to do spring cleaning but I can't even get the everyday stuff done to start in on all that. Today I woke up and I was going to vacuum, dust, get the laundry started, clean the toliets and kitchen. Well I got the kitchen cleaned up, and started to clean my scrap area when Hayley came out of her bed room and asked me to help her. I had no idea that she had taken almost everything out of her room and was rearranging it all. She needed help getting the TV off her armoir. We got it down but not without some injuries. I had a bruised wrist and she has a black eye. Warning, don't ask the two of us to help with heavy labor, we start laughing and loose all muscle control. It is not a pretty sight. Lets say, the TV is not going back up on top unless I can get DH to do it.

I got started on altering Hayley's prom dress, I hope I get it done because Prom is next Saturday. Put that back on my list of to do's this weekend. Ugh!!!

We were going to go to my nephews house this weekend also but I cancelled because I had too many things that needed to get done. My uncle Gene died last week and the funeral was last Saturday. So that just gave me Sunday to get my normal weekend chores done. Well I didn't get a thing done other than laundry. That is why I am so far behind. My mom called today and my uncle Jack died this morning. He was in AR at the time so everyone is thinking that there will be a memorial service later. WOW that is 2 uncles within a week. Uncle Jack is my dad's brother and uncle Gene is his brother in law so I am happy that they are at peace now and that they are all having a party together. I can hear them now having the time of their life. That is what I am happy for. They are reuniting.

I don't know what next year is going to bring. Our school district is in big touble money wise and many teacher have been given there pink slips. Us Paras will find out the end of May if we are going to be hitting the unemployment line or not. I am way down on the list so I know that I will be one of the first to go. Actually I am good with that. I have had this nagging ache all year because everytime a field trip comes up for Maggi's class she wants me to go with them but I can't because I am working. So if I am not working then next year I can volunteer in her class more like I did with Hayley. And maybe I will have time to clean my house.

Last but not least, sorry for the long and boring post. Maybe if I would up date more often it wouldn't be so long. That is another thing I can do if I don't have a job next year.

Beautiful Day!!!

This being our last day of freedom before heading back to work and school having the whole week off for spring break we decided that we had to spend the day having fun. So we went to our local gardens to see the butterfly house. Here are a few pictures that I took.

Road Trip!!!

Well with this week being Spring Break and having no plans we decided to take a road trip up north to see our nephew. We had a great time and we will be going back. He moved into his over a year ago and you would think that he had just moved in. A couch and beds, the walls are half painted (he decided that he doesn't like to paint) and no pictures on the walls. So we are going back to finish painting his walls and give a move lived in feel. Here a picture that we took of the girls. When we left our house it was in the upper 60's and going to be in the 70's, but as you head north the temp drops and the snow if still on the ground in spots. Check out Hayley in her shorts. "Teens", we tryed to tell her that it is going to be cold but she just wouldn't listen.

Michigan in the Spring

es this is what it is like. WET!!! The weather has it's up's and down's. Take this day (early March, I don't remember the exact date), the snow has finally melted and it is in the 70's. Maggi came home from school to find this puddle in the back yard. The next thing I knew, she was running throught it. What is a mother to do? Let her go and have fun because I knew that with it being March, it wasn't going to last. She had a ball and came in wet with the biggest smile on her face.

Where's my Creativie Juices?

Yesterday I went to a crop for the whole day. Yes, the whole day. 9 to 9. I couldn't find my mojo. I did 3 LO's but they were just blah. I couldn't find my creative side of me. I am not going to complain because I was out of the house with no kids and that was wonderful but I was hoping to be able to do some LO's that I really liked. No way was that going to happen. Oh well maybe next time. I was also hoping that when I got home the laundry fairy would have been working but oh no. All the dirty clothes were still in the laundry shoot. So it looks like I will be busy today trying to get it all done before going back to work tomorrow. I would ask my dh but he got called into work. Why oh why do I feel like a maid lately? I think with that said, I will get the washing going and then go and see if I can go buy myself some new shoes. That will help.

Another Snow Day

Can you believe it. Two (2) days this week off due to weather. It has been nice because it has given us 2 three day weekends in a row. How cool. Plus I have been procrastinating (sp) on packing my scrap stuff for a all day crop tomorrow. Why I do not know because I am really looking forward to it. I have not been out of the house, just ME, in so long that I really don't care if I scrap a page or not.

***SNOW DAY***

I don't know if it was complaining on yesterdays post or what happened but Mother Nature pulled through and we have the day off. Just came in from shoveling the driveway and sidewalks. I was suppose to be on strike this week but Hayley and DH both have some sort of cold bug and talk about cranky. So I have postponed my strike until next week when I will be at a all day crop. Today I am going to try and get all my pictures printed and papers together. My BIL is bringing his girls over this afternoon. He has them every other week and it seems like every time there is a snowday he has them and he just can't take so much time off so I am volunteering my services of watching them for him. Which works great because it gives Maggi someone to play with.

The Weatherman????????

OK the TV, radio stations and even the Weather channel has been informing us that we are in for a real snow storm. I have been getting excited because it was suppose to happen on Sunday (today) and that we were to get 6 to 10 inches. Well it is now 8:15 pm and I think we have a grand total of 2 maybe 3 if we find a snow drift. I was hoping for a big old time storm that would maybe put going to school tomorrow into jeopardy. Yes I would love to have tomorrow off. I guess it is still early and that there may be some hope, so I am going to get my groove on and do my snow dance and go to bed with my fingers crossed and my pj's inside. My SIL told me that it helps. We will see. So please if anyone would like to join me in doing the snow dance, feel free and shake your bootie.

To Blog or Not to Blog

I tell myself almost everyday that I must update my blog, but for some reason life just seems to get in my way or I am just too tired to even think. So tonight I thought I better update or give it up for adoption.

The girls are keeping me busy. That is nothing new is it. Tuesday nights are the only night of the week that we have free as in nothing on the calendar, like dance or girl scouts. So that is the night that we will run errons or go to the mall. Tonight I decided that we are just going to do nothing. Well nothing as leave the house. Hayley didn't go to school today because she has this nasty head congestion, cough and just is not feeling good. Maggi is bored but that is nothing new either. I am not her entertainment committe. I know that was mean, but she is 9 and we have a gazillion things around here that she could do. I am in the process of making 44 shutters out of paper for the school carnival that is in a couple of weeks. Why do I get myself into these things. I have 1 done and 43 more to go. Good thing I started because it is going to take me forever.

I think we are having a heat wave today. It was in the 30's which is really warm compared to the single digits that we have been having.

Did Christmas fly by or what?

I am having a hard time with the Christmas. I don't feel like Santa has been here. I don't know if it was because I have been so busy (getting ready, like shopping, or was it having 3 dinner parties since Dec. 16th) or was it because the weather has been so unseasonable warm and no snow. I just can't believe it is almost 2007. Is there anyway that I can push a rewind button, get a little snow and start all over again. Wait I take that back. Rewind to the beginning of Dec. and get all of my parties catered, except Christmas Eve (because that one was easy and the food was FABULOUS), get a maid and someone to decorate my house for the fastive occasions. I have been going and going and going that I feel it flew by and I missed it. The decorations are coming down today and I guess that is why all of a sudden it hit me. It is over and I don't remember it. I guess I am going to do things differently next year, like not have so many big parties and shop early. Thanks for letting me vent, that exactly what I needed. Now off to get the decorations down so that maybe I can find time to scrap before I have to start back to work in a few days.

GUILTY as Charged

Oops, Sorry about the sideways photos. I will try and repost later with them the correct way. How stupid of me.

I have been so bad about updated my blog. So I am going to give a condensed version of my life since Oct. I have been so busy that I really don't remember. How is that for condensed? HAHA!!! Well Scott had a trip to Germany and he was gone for 2 1/2 weeks. I have a new understanding of being a single parent and more sympathy for them. I thought I was going to go crazy. He travels quit often but normally for 3-4 days at a time and the girls and I kind of like it. We just do our own thing, like eat out, go shopping and watch girly movies. But he was gone too long and it was a very hectic time of year. Trying to get ready for Christmas and the big party that we had at our house. He came home the day before the party and didn't understand why I was feeling a little overwelmed. We were having about 50 people, so I had to clean the house put up the decorations and cook and fix food for all of them. Then try and do my Christmas shopping. But that is over and now it is time to get ready for another that we are hosting for Christmas Eve. I am really looking forward to that one and since the house is still pretty clean from the last one I just need to pick up and get the food out, and everyone is helping with that.

I have had 3 sinus infections since the end of October. Well that is what the Dr. said. I think it was the same infection and it just wouldn't go away. Knock on wood I have been off the antibiotic for 2 weeks and thing and still going good. Tis the season to be Jolly FaLaLaLaLaLaLaLaLa.

I think I am going to Live.

I am feeling better today. You should have seen me. I almost had Hayley take a picture of just my eyes because I have never seen any so RED. They were so bloodshot and swollen that I could hardly see and light made them hurt, so I sat around in the dark for 2 days watching TV. I don't really like tv but I did a day of HGTV, with What not to wear, 10 Yrs. younger, etc. Boy was that fun. I want to go out and buy new clothes and make up now.

Today we are going to my MIL for my birthday. It is not until Tuesday but it works better for everyone to get together on weekends. I am pumped, she is the best cook around and I can't wait to have her cake. I don't know what kind it will be but she doesn't make anything bad (well unless it has coconut in it because I don't like coconut). Plus I don't have to worry about what to cook tonight. Or tomorrow because we are getting together at my mothers for another celebration. I love living close to family for family celebrations, it is just a fun time to get together and enjoy each other company.

The photo above is of the full moon that I saw out my back window the other night. I know it is nothing fantastic but I thought it was likd of pretty. I am off to rest some more, I hope my ears will pop soon. I hate to feel like I am in a tin can.

Just Shoot Me!!!

This has been one ugly week for us. Last week Maggi was sick with a cold or allergies but recovered in a couple of days. Scott then got it a couple of days later (you would have thought he was dying). Then Hayley came down with the same thing. Runny nose, coughing, feeling just plain yucky. I had to take her to the Med Center Wednesday night because she was almost in tears with a ear ache. This child hardly ever complains so I knew something was up. Yeap her cold turned into a ear infection. Well you can guess what happened next. I now have it and I am feeling like CRAP. Mine started out with a ear that was plugged, which is no biggy but I called the Dr. yesterday because it was beginning to wear on me after 4 days of not being able to hear out it. I would walk down the hallways at school sideways so I could hear. That was a site. Well anyways they could get me in this morning at 8:00, cool. Last night I had a hard time falling asleep because my other ear was now plugged also and yucky stuff was coming out of both. Sorry for the graphics. So I finally got to sleep with a little help of a sleep aid to only wake up at 5:00am not able to breath out of my nose, my eyes where glued shut and I couldn't hear out of either ear. So off to the Dr. I go. I have a sinus infection, 2 ear infections and pink eye. Oh did I tell you how much I love working with kids. They love to share. Thanks for letting me vent. I am off to the couch again and watch some TV. I wonder what is on Friday nights. Probably not much since I have the time.

Deep Breathe

***What A Weekend***It was Homecoming weekend. So that involved a football game Friday night. And that was after a very busy week and I would have just loved to sit by the fire or scrapbook. What mood I was in at the time. But nope that wasn't going to happen. Right now it is 7:00 pm and this is actually the first time I have sat down to take a break almost all weekend. Yesterday it was run around to get this or that that was forgotten. You know things like, oh mom I need hairspray, OK honey is there anything else you need while I am at the store. NO. OK I get home, I'm doing dishes, MOM I need razors, Oh honey just go get some out of my drawer, NO I don't like yours. Ok off to the store. Get home. Mom did you pick up the bootener (spelled wrong-I don't know how to spell it). Oh crap back into the car. But I am going to go to the store and then pick Maggi up at a birthday party so I will be back in about at 1/2 hour. OK. As I am pulling out of the garage my garage door is coming down. Yeap you guessed it. BAM. oh poop. I was vaccuming out the car earlier in the day and must of shut the release for the door in the car door so when I was backing up it was released. But luckily it was only 2 little dents in the back of the car and one dent in the garage door, and they both work fine so I am good to go. Get the razor blades which I find out are $10 bucks for 4 stinkin blades. Good thing I love this child. Pick up Maggi only for her to start to cry as soon as we are in the car. I guess one of her so called friends pulled a trick on her. They wanted what Maggi got as a prize and asked to trade. So she does only to trade a mini make-up kit for a bite size trizzler. So when Maggi mentions to this girl that is not a fair trade she is told "NO TRADE BACKS". OK I make a mental note to deal with this later. I get home only to find out that the plans for dinner and pictures has changed AGAIN. Take a deep breathe. No biggy. Then I hear some muffled whining coming from the bathroom. The princess's hair is not cooperating. I am not a hairdresser, and you asked me to cancell your hair appt. because you wanted to do it yourself. Take another deep breathe. OK I hear from the closed bathroom door, I am just going to straighten it and wear my big headband. Cool because I think that would look best with your dress anyways. MOM can you drive tonight, so and so's parents won't drive now. Another deep breathe. YES. Time is closing in (thank god). I get her over to her dates house and get photos, yahoo, take them to dinner and then her dates parents are going to be doing the rest. Today I get up and it is laundry day, I made a deal with dh last week because now that I am working full time I think that it is only fair that he enjoy these moments. It was his turn to do the laundry. He was gone fishing all day yesterday so it is only fair, RIGHT. Well guess what, he went fishing AGAIN today. Another deep breathe, I think I am going to pass out from all the deep breathe. I am going to look for some cheap weekend getaway for next weekend and not tell anyone where I am going. But to let you know that I did make it thru I am posting some photos of yesterday and let me say I am very proud of Hayley.

Long time, No see

It has been a long time since I have undated this little blog thingy and for that I am sorry. Nothing really exciting happening other than time. I just don't seem to have enough time in a day to get everything done. This working full time seems to get in the way of all the fun stuff in life. Then after work it is get dinner, get Hayley to dance and do errands that I don't have time to do during the day.

We went to the Balloon Fest last weekend and had a GREAT time. The weather was perfect. Sure beats this weekend with it being cloudy and rainy. It is making me stay home and do the little projects that I have been putting of. Like repainting Hayleys bedroom door, laundry, vacuuming, you know the things that need to be done but yet you can also ignore for a certain period of time. Looks like that time is up.

Well, tomorrow it is off to the store to buy a new crock pot. Mine seems to have bit the schnitzel and i can't live without one now that I am gone all day long. If anyone has a recommendation please let me know.

I know I have been MIA

I just can't seem to get my act together. My house looks like crap, I have so much paperwork from school that needs to be done, dance has started so that mean I am offically a chauffer again. I need more time and energy. Just to make things more difficult I did a stupid thing last week. I was running a few minutes late coming back from my lunch break so I decided that I would run or jog is what I should say from my car to school, and yep you guessed it, I tripped over my own feet. Landed right on my right buttocks, jumped right up and worked the rest of the day. As the day went on I could feel my back getting tighter, no big deal I can deal with aches and pains. Woke up Friday (we didn't have school) and it hurt, but it didn't stop me from doing a little shopping and then went scrapbooking with Kay that night. Well when I woke up on Saturday I could hardly move. Every time I went to even breathe it was like a electrical shock going thru my back. So I did absolutely nothing Sat. and Sun. What a way to spend a holiday weekend. I was just a ball of fire. NOT. I let it go until Wed and finally went to the Dr. just to find out that I bruised the hell out of my back and that it might take another 2 - 3 weeks before it gets better. Oh that was just what I wanted to hear. Today it is feeling much better, still very sore but at least I can breathe without a shock.

This weekend it is house cleaning, since I didn't get anything done last week. Oh another fun one, the family is sure to love me. At least they will have clean underware, well maybe if they are nice. I will be sure to leave them for last just in case anyone gives me a hard time.

My other goal for this weekend is to get my camera out and take more pictures. I have been neglecting that lately. I need new inspiration and I am hoping new pictures will do it.

2 Weeks down

OK it was 3 days the first week and 4 days this week but it feels like 2 full weeks and my body sure feels like it. I am not use to getting up early and putting the coffee on, jumping in the shower before dh and be ready to get out the door about 7:00am. That is just too darn early unless we are leaving for vacation and then time doesn't matter because I usually don't sleep well the night before because I am just too darn excited.

I think this is going to be a good year at school. We have a new principal and so far she is amazing. A real people person that tells you the truth (even if you don't want to know) rather than tell you what she thinks you want to hear (that is what the last principal did). Does that make sence? Well anyways I really like her and so she is just wonderful with the students. She has rules but has a wonderful sence of human at the same time. And how could I forget Adam. The little boy that I am with all day long. He is such a wonderful 8 year old. Working with him is a awesome job that it really doesn't feel like a job.

I seemed to have pulled a muscle in my back. I hope it feels better tomorrow, I am suppose to go to a crop. I am going to drug myself up before bed and lather on a bunch of ben gay so by morning I will be able to a little two step. Guess I better take lesson before actually saying I am going to do it.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend. This is the first year in about 5 that we are staying home. We usually go up north and walk the Mackinaw Bridge with 10,000 plus other crazy people. With 4 days off I guess I better try to clean house. You did notice the key word "try", it is a holiday weekend so it may or may not get done.

It has been awhile since I have updated this. For that I am so sorry. The girls are back in school and that means that I am back at work. It has been some very long days for us. It will take me a couple of weeks before I can come from home school and have any energy. As it is right now I get home, get dinner and then I am ready for bed. Ugh!!! Hayley starts dance tonight so that means that I will have to stay up to pick her up. I hope I don't fall asleep and forget all about her. At least this year she only has 3 classes and 2 of those are on the same night so that means I will only have to run 2 nights a week. Good thing I don't have a life. HAHA.

I found out that my good friend that has gone thru cancer twice has more lesions on her kidney. The poor girl only has 1/2 of a kidney left. My heart just goes out to her and her family. She has a daughter that is good friend with Hayley. They met in kindergarten have hung together ever since. I will be praying for her. The thing that really is making her upset about all this is that they can't do a thing and told her to come back in 6 months. That is going to be a hell of long 6 months for her. If you could find it in your heart please pray for her.

Well I guess I better go do the dishes. Nothing I hate more than waking up in the morning and finding last nights dishes in the sink. I never do that but I have been so tired, thank goodness it is only until I get use to working again.
